Colonel is wearing his hat from WWII, good ole authentic USArmy Uniform from the 1940's. He did clarify, that this is not the EXACT hat, because better gear was worn while traveling the English Channel to protect "the head region". This hat was worn during training and when he was teaching back in the states post-WWII.
