A letter from June 19, 2012
No, I did not have any relatives in the Armed Forces in WWII. When I went in (in 1941) I was the second youngster from Valley Forge to go in anticipation of WWII. My name is on a bronze plaque mounted on a large stone placed in front of the Baptist Church. My sister’s husband was in the Navy – served in Panama.
