My life goes back to the invention of the light bulb by Thomas Edison, The Wright Brothers flight at Kitty Hawk, the invention of cellophane, the Model T Ford (you hand cranked it to start it) and yes, the first ball point pen (cost $10.00).

One-Eyed Animals
After sending Colonel some "2012 Highlights" from National Geographic, he commented on the below photo of a one-eyed cyclops:
